The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) sued Bear Stearns and other mortgage backed security trusts as the FDIC investigated and found that the loan to value rations stated in the offering documents for the securities was misstated. The case was ultimately dismissed by Judge Laura Swain of the Southern District of New York. The FDIC appealed, which is ongoing.
